The Early Intervention Program serves children who are 24 months of age or younger at the time of referral. Toddlers with diagnoses of autism are accepted without regard to initial skill levels. The applied behavior analysis program is both center-based and home-based. The center-based component emphasizes language development and social skills. Toddlers and their parents regularly visit the Institute, and Institute personnel make regular home visits. The home-based component includes programming family routines to facilitate teaching and learning. Eating, bathing, play, and social interaction skills are taught in natural contexts, and parents' participation increases the total number of hours of intervention delivered each week. The toddlers receive no less than 30 hours of intervention per week. Contact us for information about submitting a referral.
